Kelly Hayden

Executive Director of Equity & Inclusion

Kelly is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Ohio and holds a coaching certification from Humana Health and Wellness Coach Training. Kelly has over 19 years of experience in counseling, coaching, and process development. In 2015 Kelly began participation and leading of racial equity work within schools which quickly expanded to organizations throughout Ohio. Kelly founded Tri-State Counseling & Coaching paired with the Equity-Builders program focused on cultural awareness and competencies within organizations. Prior to expanding her work in social justice and organizational culture Kelly spent 12 years working in foster care, wellness & life coaching, and counseling. Her experience in human development and mental health laid the foundation for her ability to provide unique and personalized strategic plans to serve individual departments and organizations. Kelly supports and guides clients using her skills in public speaking, workshop development and presentation, professional development training, resource development, coaching, and direct consultation. Ultimately, Kelly leads clients to self-sustained cultural improvement.

Complementing her work at DBU, Kelly serves on the program committee of Rising Leaders Cincinnati and co-leads the Parent Equity Group at Indian Hill Schools. She continues to serve clients in counseling both in her private practice and school setting.
